Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, A Survivors Story. This book chronicles Dr. Art Schmitt’s three tours in Vietnam. Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron Four, 1965. Flying SH-A Helicopters into North Vietnam supporting the fighter and bomber aircraft on their mission’s in-country.

Although Dr. Schmitt is a Psychologist and book discusses his battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The Second tour was flying R5D’s/ DC-4 transport aircraft from Saigon up and down the coast of Vietnam flying logistic missions.

The Third tour was with Helicopter Light Attack Squadron Three, flying UH-1L slick helicopters out of Binh Thuy, South Vietnam., 1969. Was the Officer in Charge of Gunship Detachment at Seafloat/Solid Anchor.

Flew 808 combat missions and was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, 2 Single Action air Medals and 21 Air Medals.
